It’s going to be a hot October for martial arts fans in Hamburg – We Love MMA, Germany’s toughest league (according to Bild), is bringing its cage to the Barclays Arena for the seventh time on 30/10/2021. 12 thrilling fights with some of the best MMA fighters in Germany, as well as big name international athletes, are set to face off. The first fights have already been announced.
Having taken part in the title fight at the last pre-pandemic We Love MMA event (Hannover, 29/2/2020), Karl Nickel of X-Fight Minden is now the headliner at the largest post-lockdown event in northern Germany. Even though he wasn’t able to contend for the heavyweight title in 2020, he has his eyes firmly set on the belt. The only one who has stepped forward to challenge the young fighter from Minden is Sergiu Pintye Calin, from the renowned Phoenix Akademie in Kassel. The experienced and trained kickboxer is no stranger to arena fights, and he’s always ready for spectacular fights and thrilling knockouts. This bout is sure to rock the arena!
Following his 7-0 amateur MMA career, Joram Wittke of Team Fenriz in Berlin made his WLMMA debut in 2018 and has since been able to continue his winning streak. Now he’s facing off against Mraz Ayodan from Team Matrix in Saarbrücken, who has also remained undefeated since his first MMA fight in 2016. This is a promising pairing in the light heavyweight class.
In the welterweight division, Simeon Kapuya from Wolfpack Cologne is going head to head with Vladimir Radic of WAR-MMA-GYM Hamburg. This local fighter proved to be a powerful contender at his debut in Hamburg in 2019. Both fighters are undefeated, but this time only one of them will be able to stay that way!
Dimitrij Isak ranks 5th in the We Love MMA featherweight division, and is on his way to the top. He’ll be up against Finn Schmetzer, who wants to make up for his last defeat against Laurenz Hoth to make it to the top ten. Dimitrij is still undefeated, and has always been able to end his fights early through submission. Will he continue his series of wins, or will Finn give him the first defeat of his career?
Jiu-jitsu versus Tae Kwon Do, Hamburg versus Magdeburg: Syrene Senobio of SVP Hamburg versus Lasha Abramishvili of La Onda Magdeburg. These two fighters are experienced and will not yield any ground in the ring.
Löwa Mstoyan, of the renowned UFD Gym, is up again in the lightweight division. He will be challenged by Muhammed Yildirim, a strong fighter from RFC Köln who now wants to put his skills to the test in the Octagon. Hamburg has a spectacular fight to look forward to!
